Kyphoplasty

What is Kyphoplasty?

Kyphoplasty is a vertebral augmentation surgery that treats fractures in the vertebra.

How can it help you?

The goal is to stop the pain caused by a spinal fracture, stabilize the bone, and restore lost vertebral body height due to the compression fracture.

How does it work?

With X-ray guidance, your doctor will insert a needle through your skin and back muscles into the bone, then inflate a balloon to help the vertebra regain its normal shape.
